PALEO.OS
INTRODUCTION
Welcome to PALEO.OS – an interactive database of paleontology. Built with an interactive 3D space and maps featuring each continent, this website lets you explore dinosaurs by clicking on sprites placed across the continents, providing a visual way to discover species, focusing primarily on Jurassic and Cretaceous periods.
This project was built to make palaeontological data more accessible to anyone curious about the prehistoric world, and for people tired of scrolling through endless text of scientific jargon.
All data is sourced from publicly available research, primarily from Wikipedia and other open scientific databases, with image credits included where applicable. Rather than a complete encyclopaedia, this website is designed to encourage personal discovery, where you can go on the internet to find out more about the species which peaked your interest.
Currently catalogued species: 27
